Here is what I found. The 32 bit Procmon.exe contains the 64 bit exe inside it as a binary resource. When the 32 bit exe starts, it extracts the 64 bit version out to a hidden file called Procmon64.exe and then executes that. For some reason this process fails on some Windows 7 installs.I managed to extract the 64 bit exe using Visual Studio 2010. Open Visual Studio and open the Procmon.exe file using the File-Open-File.
Menu. In the resource tree, expand the 'BINRES' node. Right-click on the 1308 node and select Export. Name the exported resource Procmon-64.exe and save. Run the extracted exeDon't name the extracted exe Procmon64.exe (no hyphen) because the 32 bit Procmon will try to delete it if it gets the chance. If you don't have Visual Studio, use a windows executable resource extractor like ResourcesExtract. One time while idly double-clicking Procmon.exe over and over in frustration, I saw the hidden Procmon64.exe flash in Windows Explorer. This gave me the clue that the 64 bit version was being extracted by the 32 bit version.
Following this hunch lead me to crack open the 32 bit exe to examine its resources and I found one that was orders of magnitude larger than the others. I extracted the resource and saved it as an.exe. Lo and behold, it was the missing 64 bit Process Monitor.–Oct 4 '12 at 4:19.
I recently installed Nvidia graphics card drivers for my GTX1050ti and after a few restarts, I got the explorer.exe could not start error 0xc0000022. I used the installed Acer eRecovery tool to reinstall Windows, moving my personal files to C:Backup.

Afterrunning Windows update and restarting a few times, during which it automatically installed graphics drivers and upgraded to Win7 SP1, when I booted my computer today, I received the same error on boot. When I login, all I get is a black screen. If I Ctrl+Alt+Delete, and start explorer.exe through Task Manager I get the error message. Here are the things I've tried:Updating the DLL and OCX permissions in the System32 folder, the output of those commands said something regarding not associating Users and IDs.Checking the recent updates for KB2659262, it wasn't installed.Tried to install and run the Process Monitor, but on launch it said 'Unable to load Process Monitor Device Driver'Tried running the Windows 10 upgrade program, but that failed as well, multiple times.I'd really like to continue using Win 7, but this error is making it rather hard to. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
